9 Months

Luke is 9 months old today. Wow. He's 16 lbs. 12 oz. and 27 inches long. He barely cried when he got his two shots. What a big boy.

It seems like we can literally see him growing before our eyes. We've been watching him do the military crawl for a week and a half now and he's already gotten so much faster. I wonder if he'll be happy to do that for a while or if he's going to get up on his hands and knees any day. We really have to start child proofing.

He's been in a very good mood for the past couple of weeks and just seems happy most of the time. Lots of babbling and laughing. He's fascinated by everything. It's been great. What a difference a happy, healthy baby makes.

Last weekend we made a quick trip to Houston to see the grandparents and godparents. He got to play with his cousin Elise for a bit.

Spring Break Kick Off

We made it through a second full week of daycare. Yay! On Saturday Luke surprised us by showing off his military crawl! Since he's still mastering sitting up we were not expecting to see him pull himself across his mat to grab a toy. Wow! He's really on the move now, either rolling everywhere or doing this new crawl.

The weather was fabulous this weekend and we spent most of it outdoors. On Sunday we were able to find a shady spot of grass at Pease Park so we could have a picnic. Our sandwiches were a bit soggy, but we still had fun. Luke's obsession with his feet continues, but it's not just his own feet. His new thing is checking where your feet are too.
After our picnic we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa's for a quick visit. He got to try out the booster seat so he could sit with us at dinner.

Listen to your parents Luke and stop growing so fast!

Sittin Pretty

I'm tempting fate by talking about it again, but this time we think he really is healthy again. He had a great week. He's doing really well sitting up and can go 5-6 minutes without falling over. He's been babbling alot and the past few days it's been da-da-da-da.
He was really loving the camera today. Here he is practicing his big gummy smile.

Luke was an angel today while we dragged him along to Lady Bird Lake and on several errands. We ended the day at Mandola's with Grandma Cheryl to celebrate my birthday.
