Zoo

We went to the Austin Zoo and Pet Sanctuary on Good Friday.  The zoo is not very big, but they have a good variety of animals.  I liked checking out all the monkeys.
They had lots of peacocks running around.  Near the end of our visit one of them spread his plume to show his beautiful peacock feathers.  The peacocks reminded me of the Dude ranch we used to go to in Bandera.   We'll have to take Luke there someday.
Luke thought the giant tortoises were pretty neat.
You can get food to feed some of the animals.  Luke wanted to feed the deer, but he got scared when it started coming close.
We didn't have time to ride the train, so we'll have to do that next time.

Easter Egg Hunt

Luke had an easter egg hunt at school.  We practiced with him beforehand so he would know what to do.  He did well and found alot of eggs.  He was not shy about eating some of his friend Vincent's goodies.
All the kids were pretty funny, digging into each other's baskets and taking something if they wanted it.  They were also feeding each other. It was cute.

Yum Yum

Since the surgery Luke has not been eating very much, but his appetite finally returned yesterday morning.
They opened a Mandola's Italian Market near our house recently and we finally made it there. It's really delicious, you can ask Luke.

Sometimes the spork just isn't that effective.

Little Patient

Today Luke had another ENT procedure done.  We were nervous about having to keep him from eating or drinking until his surgery time, but luckily they had a playroom with lots of fun things to keep him occupied.
He got to wear a slightly creepy clown gown and he was very excited to get the patient bracelet on his ankle.
This procedure was more involved than the last time so the recovery was a little longer.  He was a litte trooper though and did a great job.  By the end of the day he was acting like his usual self.
