Wildflower Center

We all had Good Friday off so we took advantage of the great weather and went to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. It's only about 10 minutes from our house.  

Since we've actually had some rain this year the wildflowers have been growing like crazy.

We forgot to bring the stroller so we spent alot of the time chasing Luke while he ran around the place. Luckily, it's a good place for kids and we weren't the only parents getting some exercise.

He really liked the different little ponds they had and all the walls he could walk on. I think the highlights of the day for him were watching a tractor scoop up dirt and a garbage truck empty the dumpster - twice!

Pandas Eat Bamboo

Luke moved up to the Panda room yesterday. If you ask him what a panda eats, he will tell you "bamboo!"

His first day went well and he's making some new friends.  His favorite things as a Panda so far are getting to go on the back playground (the big one) and the art center. He also likes using the mop and mini broom and dust pan.

Most pandas are potty trained and don't use sippee cups. He's going to be growing up very quickly!

Potty Time

Luke has been using the potty off and on for a little while at school, and he gets a sticker if he uses it.  We're told he hangs out there and likes to direct kids (and sometimes parents too!) as they go by.    

Up until now he's refused to go whenever we've tried at home. Yesterday he finally agreed after he saw the awesome Cars stickers he could get. Now he wants to go all the time! Here is the proud big boy showing off the sticker he really earned.
